Description
Micrurus nigrocinctus
It is secretive and spends much time under cover, logs or loose soil. It feeds on other snakes, lizards and small elongate vertebrates. Its coloration warns of toxicity, so it should never be handled. In the region it is associated with leaf litter, forest floors and areas with refuges.
