Description
Electron carinatum
It inhabits dense humid forest, especially shaded sites with streams and well-kept understory. Like other motmots, it often sits quietly on low or mid-level perches while watching for insects, small vertebrates and fruit. Its rarity makes it a special attraction on mature-forest routes.
