Ateles geoffroyi
It is diurnal, arboreal and lives in fission-fusion societies, with a larger group splitting into smaller foraging parties. It eats mainly ripe fruit and needs large areas of connected forest. As a fruit-eater it is an important seed disperser, but it is vulnerable to deforestation and hunting.
