Description

Choloepus hoffmanni

It inhabits mature, secondary and deciduous forests. It spends almost all its life in trees, feeding mainly on leaves with occasional flowers and fruits. Its slow metabolism allows it to live on a low-energy diet. It rarely descends, mostly to defecate or move between trees.
