Description
Rhinoclemmys funerea
It swims among roots, logs and banks, feeding on aquatic plants, fallen fruits, invertebrates and carrion. It needs healthy shorelines for basking, shelter and reproduction. In the region it is associated with slow rivers, wetlands and vegetated banks.
